This delicate Dresden porcelain openwork basket features an intricately reticulated body with interlacing diamond cutouts, accented by hand-painted forget-me-not flowers with yellow centers and soft gold detailing.
Twisting vine-form handles with applied floral elements frame the basket, adding dimensional Rococo-inspired charm.
The interior is finished with a small hand-painted floral spray, a detail commonly seen on decorative Dresden baskets intended for cabinet display. The form, applied flowers, and pastel palette are characteristic of post-war Saxony Dresden porcelain, produced by workshops operating in the Dresden tradition during the mid-20th century.
A refined decorative piece that displays beautifully from all angles and complements collections of German porcelain, Dresden lace, or floral cabinet wares.
